"With the winter chill whisking up from the nearby Middle Park beach, it seemed that the Hocking Stuart team and crowd alike were keen to get this auction over with quickly. Auctioneer David Wood gave a thorough summation of the home and location and was rewarded immediately when he sought an opening bid from the crowd. An offer of $1,600,000 came from bidder 1 and bidder 2 joined in quickly with $1,610,000. All of a sudden we were at $1,700,000 and David and his co-workers headed inside for a referral with the vendor. Upon his return, David announced that the home was on the market.
