BOUGHT* - $1,700,000

Due to inclement weather, the Bennison Mackinnon team decided to conduct the auction in doors. Auctioneer Iain Carmichael open the floor for bids and immediately received a reasonable starting bid of $1,550,000 from the crowd. However the activity level stalled and Mr Carmichael was forced to place a vendor bid at $1,580,000 in order to protect his vendor's interests. Once returning from the standard half time interval Mr Carmichael was greeted by a robust exchange of bids between 2 new interested parties and the property was declared on the market at $1,630,000. Finally after some nifty auctioneer craft from Mr Carmichael the property was sold under the hammer for $1,700,000.
