A big crowd of around 70 people turned out to watch John Speer in action. This Gabriel Oroszvary designed home created a real buzz amongst the spectators who had come to inspect the modern new home on the Dalgetty Rd hill. After giving a concise preamble about the merits of both the location and the property, Mr Speer was forced to open on a vendor bid of $1,500,000. He reminded the onlookers they would not be able to buy land and build a similar property for this price in Beaumaris, yet still no bids were forthcoming. After a long referral with the vendor, Mr Speer passed the property in at the aforementioned price.
