Auctioneer Stewart Oldmeadow stood at the gate of this grand Queen Anne Federation residence hoping to achieve the asking price of $2,300,000 to $2,500,000. The crowd of 60+ appeared to be mainly neighbours from this family oriented locale. Mr Oldmeadow spoke of the well-built and sympathetic renovation added 15 years ago to make this a wonderful family home. Keen to get proceedings underway, Mr Oldmeadow placed a vendor bid of $2,300,000, quickly followed by another at $2,350,000. It didn’t appear that any genuine bidders would be forthcoming so he sought advice from his vendors. A third and final vendor bid was then made at $2,375,000 and disappointingly the property was passed in.
