Auctioneer Jack Bongiorno kept his cool whilst the crowd sweltered in the sun at the auction of this brand new corner property. Jack was in a jovial mood as he exclaimed that he had just arrived from securing a sale after a pass in at his previous auction in Coppin St Malvern East. His attempts at humour proved entertaining and were appreciated by the 75 onlookers who stood patiently as two cautious bidders slowly lifted the bidding from the opening vendor bid of $1,600,000 to the final bid of $1,735,000. Unfortunately, it was never on the market. However, as Jack had explained all along, the highest bidder would secure the right to negotiate with the Marshall White team and in this case, it was bidder number one.
