This would have to be one of the wettest auction Saturdays  I can recall and when auctioneer David Lack said we were holding the auction outside in the park opposite, I wished I was wearing my gum boots. Unfazed by the weather, David was the true  professional as he went through his preamble on the property. A genuine bid of $1,000,000 was made and, although a little lower than where David wanted to start, he was grateful and accepted the bid. No further bid were made at this stage and half time was called. After half time still no bids so David made a vendor bid of $1,100,000 and it was at this point that the property was passed in. Let's hope negotiations took place inside. Bought after for an undisclosed amount.
