It was an exceptionally good idea to hold the auction under the carport and in the shaded front yard of the home - and with the free bottles of water handed out before proceedings started, the Woodards team was off to a good start! Rodney Morley was at the helm and was in good spirits as he took centre stage and searched for an opening bid. It did not take long as an offer came from the crowd at $990,000 and we were away. Initially, the bidding came from two parties and a third entered not long after. Soon we had four, then five bidders battling it out. The successor on the day was confident throughout proceedings and offered strong, quick bids along the way. On the market at $1,275,000, Mr Morley's trusty hammer came down with a thud at $1,285,000.
