Auctioneer Greg Hocking was quick to endorse the street as a good one, given he lived in it for many years. Further recounting that many of his once neighbours might suggest it has improved with his departure! Then it was down to business. An opening bid of $1,290,000 (an unusual number) was offered and politely refused as a vendor bid of $1,500,000 was made. No interest at this level and, after a quick half time, the property was re-offered to the market. Still nothing and the property was passed in.
