Auctioneer John Bongiorno was in a jovial mood for his last auction of the day, at one point offering a bag of lollies to a little girl to encourage her father to bid again! His high spirits were infectious as a genuine bid of $2,525,000 was promptly put forth to trump the opening $2,500,000 vendor bid. Two more parties joined in and escalated the price to $2,650,000. This was not enough, however, to put the property on the market so it was passed in for this amount. Bought after auction.
