PASSED IN - $1,700,000

An interesting auction with the property up for sale being not safe to live in but protected by a heritage overlay. A bit of a dilemma for anyone wanting to bid however a strong crowd of just over 100 came out to see what would unfold. Auctioneer David Gillham conducted the auction in his usual no nonsense style however despite his best efforts, no bids were forthcoming. It seemed that the task of renovating the house and bringing it to a livable standard was just too daunting and the property was passed in on Mr Gillham's original vendor bid of $1,700,000. With the reserve set at $1,800,000 it will be interesting to see who is brave enough to take the plunge.
