Auctioneer Robin Parker came down the driveway right on 12.30pm and welcomed the crowd of over 40 who were enjoying the pleasant winter sunshine. He advised everyone they would all be able to enjoy even more sunshine - plus of course the fabulous view - if they were energetic enough to climb up the specially erected scaffolding in the rear garden! (Erected by the vendor to highlight the view that would be enjoyed if a council-approved replacement dwelling were to be considered). With the preliminaries done with, Robin opened with a vendor bid of $1,100,000 to get things going. The first bid from a young family in the crowd was $1,125,000. A second bidder entered the field at $1,150,000 but bidding stalled at $1,270,000 and this fine property was passed in at this level. Bought after auction for an undisclosed amount.
