My last of five auctions today, the sun has gone in and it's a bit overcast. Auctioneer and the rejuvenated Robin Parker is giving today's command performance and he starts very powerfully from the front veranda of this comfortable north facing rear family home on big land of 1005 sqm. I like his start to the crowd of 60 - a sense of occasion - he commands your attention. Anyway lets see how the buyers respond to the offering, after to quote Robyn "the ball has been bounced." We start with vendor bid of $1,400,000 and after some huff and puff bidder one enters at $1,425,000. Dragging a little and so a half time break is called - a quick break - good thinking. Upon Robin's return a little bit of sarcastic humor comes and goes, mmmm pass on that next time Robin - and the property is passed in to Bidder one. Overall the auction was a bit limp in terms of activity but solid and positive in terms of Marshall White's delivery. We await the post auction result. Bought after for $1,600,000.
