BOUGHT* - $1,800,000

Good crowd here of around 80 , and another auction in Urquhart Street Hawthorn (there have been 8 auctions since March 2011).This time it was James Tostevin at the helm and as per usual he conducted another professional auction. With an opening vendor bid of $1,600,000 it didn't take too long for two bidders to join in the action. I was a little surprised (and I am sure others in the crowd were also) that the bidders did not ask if the property it was on the market in the $1,700,000's (or at least ask can a bid be referred to the vendor) but they they didn't and the property passed in for $1,780,000. Bought after auction.
