14 Thomas Street, CAMBERWELL
PASSED IN - $1,850,000
A decent crowd comfortably gathered inside the kitchen, living, and back patio areas to hear auctioneer Toby Parker’s preamble. A crowd bid of $1,750,000 was offered, but Mr Parker promptly tipped in a vendor bid of $1,800,000. The original bidder added another $20,000, but no competition forced a half-time break. The second half drew one new bidder, but they were only prepared to offer $1000 more. Mr Parker accepted, but wasn’t prepared to play in such tiny figures and added one more vendor bid, the asking price now $1,850,000. Cautious bidding had been displayed by parties unwilling to enter a full on battle. No further bids were raised.
