BOUGHT* - $1,410,000

The street was full of cars, drivers were desperately searching for a spot to park and the crowd was raring to go. With the anticipation and eagerness in the air there was a feeling that this auction would be a cracker. This proved to be true as once the formalities were over, auctioneer Hamish Tostevin didn't have much to do with two opening bids called out. One at $1,000,000 and the other at $1,100,000. Mr Tostevin accepted the later and the auction was off with three bidders quickly pushing the price to $1,300,000. With no time for a break the property was on the market before you could blink at $1,345,000. Just as the auction was reaching the final stages a fourth bidder appeared and stole the momentum off the other bidders. Some last minute bidding couldn't deter this late bidder and the property was knocked down at at $1,410,000.
