It was a small, subdued crowd that gathered around the pool as Mark Stobart from Bennison Mackinnon presented this 'hidden away Oasis'. Only three bids came before Mr Stobart sought instructions. The crowd remained quiet with only whispers in the wind to be heard...However once the bidding reached the reserve price of $1,410,000 a battle erupted between two determined bidders. After many back and forth bids the hammer finally came down at $1,701,000. One disappointed bidder said she expected the auction to go off like a fire cracker and it certainly did!!
