The crowd remained quiet with only whispers in the wind to be heard...However once the bidding reached the reserve price of $1,410,000 a battle erupted between two determined bidders. After many back and forth bids the hammer finally came down at $1,701,000. One disappointed bidder said she expected the auction to go off like a fire cracker and it certainly did!!
