35 Essex Road, SURREY HILLS

BOUGHT* - $2,007,000
Midday showdown at 35 Essex Road, Surrey Hills: the dog fight began before the auction started, with two canines tussling in the street . A huge crowd of 120 plus witnessed auctioneer Clayton Smith take bids from two parties after the opening vendor bid of $1,700,000. The house was on the market at $1,950,000. The highly entertaining banter between these two bidders gave us the highs and lows of auctions. After nearly 60 bids there could only be one winner and the property sold under the hammer for $2,007,000. Congratulations to the Jellis Craig team for a magnificent result and auction.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
Not only do we report on the state of the Melbourne Real Estate market, we are also government licensed Buyer Advocates. We only work for buyers, so think of us as the opposite of selling agents.

BUYER TESTIMONIAL
Having little to no knowledge of the property market in Melbourne, I decided that getting a buyer's advocate was my best option to ensure I didn't get taken for a ride. Mal James did more than just ensure I got the best deal. He gave me invaluable tips about price estimation of land in my selected area: the floor plan; land price / size ratio; what to look for in terms of investments; best places to look; and the style of home in Melbourne compared to my home town. I sat ...
