At 11am in the morning this auction, attracted a chatty group of locals and their energetic children, the only thing missing was the coffee and doughnuts.
A good crowd of seventy spread themselves out in this leafy street to watch the action. Sam Gamon (Chisholm and Gamon) in a booming voice extolled the virtues of the house and its location, loaction and was rewarded by a $1,600,000 bid from the crowd. Another bidder (a local agent) jumped in and this auction turned into a ding dong battle between the two. When the bidding reached $1,710,000 it was declared on the market. And the bidding continued as furious as ever. Towards the end another bidder came in to offer a couple of bids but the agent outbid him as well. The house was sold for $1,860,000 - a very strong result.
