185 Nicholson Street, CARLTON

BOUGHT* - $1,017,000
A small crowd of less than 30 people attended the auction at 185 Nicholson Street, Carlton. After an opening bid of $800,000, bidding moved around between 4 people in $5,000 and $10,000 increments. At one stage, it looked as though the auctioneer was pulling bids from mid-air, however there was one bidder sitting down hiding behind two cars! Once bidding reached $1,000,000 it was down to two: the mystery man behind the car and a local agent. Bidding stopped at $1,017,000 and at the end there was some confusion as to who the successful bidder was – everything was settled in a matter of moments and the purchasers went inside to sign the contracts.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
Not only do we report on the state of the Melbourne Real Estate market, we are also government licensed Buyer Advocates. We only work for buyers, so think of us as the opposite of selling agents.
