A beautiful day in Melbourne saw a fairly bored, uninterested crowd watch on as Robert Ding did his best to generate some interest in the Hawthorne East home. With no bids forthcoming, Mr Ding attempted to start the action with a vendor bid of $1,400,000. With no interest shown at that price, Ding went inside the house to consult with the vendor. Mr Ding returned minutes later announcing a second vendor bid of $1,425,000, which didn’t sway the 60 or so crowd, who appeared to be there simply to enjoy the weather. The property was subsequently passed in.
