2 Elwood Street, BRIGHTON

2 Elwood Street, BRIGHTON

BOUGHT* - $5,500,000
Robin Parker is bristling with verve and energy as he corrals the crowd at 2 Elwood Street onto the side motor court and keeps his preamble very short and to the point. The audience seems to get the vibe and the first bidder offers $5,000,000 when Mr Parker calls for bids. Then there was a bit of a lull and Mr Parker troops inside to flush out further interest - which works when Bidder 2 jumps in with a $25,000 rise. She's on the telephone to a decision maker somewhere else, and assisted by a member of the Marshall White staff but loses the connection and there's a bit of a flurry waiting to re-establish contact and receive further instructions. It's all a bit haphazard and Mr Parker is kept busy with a couple of crowd members being quite insistent about whether or not the home is on the market. At $5,200,000 Bidder 2 folds her cards telling Mr Parker she will negotiate afterward, however Bidder 1 with the highest bid at $5,225,000 is ushered inside to advance further discussions.
