35 Gladstone Street, SANDRINGHAM

PASSED IN - $2,750,000
Even before auctioneer Mark Earle could get his first words out, a phone rang loudly and a grin spread from ear to ear. “Ah…. my first bid!” he remarked, much to the giggle of a 55 crowd as he kicked off proceedings at 35 Gladstone Street, Sandringham. Mr Earle shouldn’t have counted his chickens before they hatched, however, as his opening vendor bid of $2,675,000 fell on deaf ears. Mr Earle laid another vendor bid moments later - to the tune of $2,750,000, but even this and the warm sun that had finally come out around the Bayside area did little to stimulate proceedings. Mr Earle was eventually forced to pass the property in, with not a single bid arriving at auction but could be seen deep in discussion with a potential suitor as the crowd shuffled out.
