As Auctioneer Bill Stavrakis commenced the auction an unexpected ambulance and fire truck arrived a few doors away. This distracted the crowds attention but Mr Stavrakis continued on. The first bid was $850,000 and Mr Stavrakis quickly submitted a vendor bid of $1,000,000. Two new bidders entered the auction and increased the price to $1,200,000 when the words "On the market" gave the fourth bidder reason to appear. A bit of tug of war of bids occurred and the property was bought under the hammer for $1,240,000.
