The buyers were there but kept a low profile. Stewart Lopez of Kay & Burton worked hard to get some serious bidding under-way and commenced with a vendor bid of $750,000. Two bidders within the crowd of 30 needed encouragement to venture into bidding mode. By the time the property was announced on the market at $825,000, the bidders were keen and the property was sold under the hammer for $855,000. No applause but a broad smile transformed the face of the successful bidder.
