38 Grandview Road, GLEN IRIS

PASSED IN - $2,227,500
Auctioneer Doug McLauchlan opened proceedings with a $2,000,000 vendor bid on this cool, windy Saturday morning in Glen Iris. A large crowd of around 90 people watched as several parties announced their interest in the Grandview Road home. After a slow start to the auction, four separate bidders attempted to make claim to the property with the bidding reaching $2,227,500. Mr. McLauchlan did all he could to extract as much as he could from the unusually quiet crowd, including consulting a 2-year-old for advice during an extended wait for bids from the crowd. The property was eventually passed in at $2,227,500, which was apparently very close to the undisclosed reserve price.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
Not only do we report on the state of the Melbourne Real Estate market, we are also government licensed Buyer Advocates. We only work for buyers, so think of us as the opposite of selling agents.
