24 Coleridge Street, KEW
BOUGHT* - $1,380,500
Many young families were attracted to this home which, according to auctioneer Simon Byrne, was within 800 metres of 11 of Melbourne's finest schools. Mr Byrne encouraged potential buyers to "bid with STRENGTH" and "bid to BUY" and bid they did! The battle started slowly with an opening genuine bid of $950,000, which was a bit low but still accepted. Proceedings stalled at $970,000 at which point Mr Byrne sort instructions from his vendors. The property was not to be bought at that price and a few more bidders joined in, assisting to push the property to the reserve of $1,100,000. Then the action really started. Rapid fire bidding from 4 determined bidders culminated in a knock out bid of $1,380,000. A final rise of $500 was thrown in and the property was knocked down at $1,380,500 to an ecstatic couple and a round of applause from the crowd. A good marathon length auction to witness.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
