Auctioneer Tom McCarthy got through his spiel on this fairly basic but well located double storey spec townhouse to be greeted by a deathly silence. I actually thought - yawn - nothing much happening here but all of a sudden a real bid followed the $810,000 opening vendor bid and we were away - going up mainly in $10,000's we went on the market at $935,000 and no half time break was going to happen. Three bidders in total and we stopped at $982,500 just after the old joke, but a goody, from Tom saying “I will tell you to stop if you are paying too much”. Philip Moore – Mr Reliable - was the Biggin and Scott selling agent.
