15 Bridges Street, GLEN IRIS

PASSED IN - $2,220,000
The auction was held in the backyard of the pretty Glen Iris property, which seemed like a good idea considering the garden really was a work of art. After receiving no opening bids from the crowd, auctioneer Iain Carmichael announced a vendor bid of $2,200,000. After calling it down and referring the situation to the vendors, Mr Carmichael returned to the crowd and received his one and only bid, which was for $2,220,000. The property was passed in at that price, despite the lively atmosphere in the crowd of around 50 people. It was later revealed that the reserve price on the property was $2,300,000, which was likely to be reached by the bidding party post auction.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
Not only do we report on the state of the Melbourne Real Estate market, we are also government licensed Buyer Advocates. We only work for buyers, so think of us as the opposite of selling agents.

BUYER TESTIMONIAL
I felt that he was very honourable in advising me of this, rather than just serving his own interests. James Buyers acted on my behalf as a Buyer’s Advocate to purchase a high-end property in October, 2011. Mal James was at all times professional and did a lot of research pre-auction on this property.
