11 Dorrington Avenue, GLEN IRIS
BOUGHT* - $2,870,000
In a beautiful terrace auctioneer Iain Carmichael waited patiently for an opening bid from the vibrant crowd. There appeared to be a lot of interest in the Glen Iris home, which was apparent due to the obvious anticipation of those in attendance. After a vendor bid of $2,500,000, a genuine bid of $2,520,000 was offered by a member of the crowd. Despite the size of the crowd (no more than 40), 3 bidders found their voices to contest for the ownership of the home - and contest they did. After 40 or so bids, and the price reaching $2,775,000, Mr Carmichael went inside to discuss the situation with his vendor. Upon his return, Mr Carmichael revealed that the reserve price was very close, which seemed to revitalise the interested parties in their quest to own the unique property. After a strong bidding war between two remaining parties, the property was finally sold under hammer for $2,870,000. More than 50 bids were made in total and applause was heard for the winning party.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
