24 Lawes Street, HAWTHORN
BOUGHT* - Undisclosed
It was the Tostevin double act with James at the helm as auctioneer, assisted by brother Hamish. The auction commenced with a vendor bid of $1,400,000 and Mr Tostevin was asking for rises of $20,000. This request was met by someone in the audience of 50 and the price edged up a bit. With no further interest, Mr Tostevin sort instructions and it was no surprise to all that the property would not be bought for that price. A further vendor bid was placed at $1,450,000 and met with a genuine bid of $1,460,000. No more bids followed and the property was passed in. It was subsequently bought for an undisclosed figure over $1,600,000, a solid result given the quiet mood of the auction.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
