71 Bellett Street, CAMBERWELL
PASSED IN - $1,800,000
Auctioneer Alastair Craig answered his own question when he asked the crowd of 40 "Where do we start?". Opening with a vendor bid of $1,700,000, Mr Craig was forced to follow with a second of $1,750,000. After a half time break, there was a genuine bid of $1,775,000 and it was becoming clear that this would be a "bid to negotiate" rather than "bid to buy" auction. At this point the mood was pretty intense. Mr Craig did he best to garner further audience participation via a third vendor bid, but could not convince the one bidder to take a second bite and the property was passed in. Overall fairly quiet and not a lot of action at this auction.

BOUGHT* - Indicates property has been bought. We are a buyer rating company and a buyer advocate company only, and we use the word bought instead of sold to give the website a buyer flavour. We do not buy all the properties listed on this website, therefore we often rely on an advertised price or the selling agent to indicate the bought price and occasionally the result may be inaccurate.
