The spring sunshine attracted several onlookers to the Forrest Court auction, with members of the crowd spread out within the opulent cul-de-sac. Despite good crowd numbers, Gerald Delany was unable to coerce onlookers into bidding. Following a hushed silence from the audience, Mr Delany offered a reluctant vendor bid of $3,900,000. Following a brief sojourn inside, Mr Delany requested further bids but with only the sounds of the birds to be heard and, with no offers forthcoming, Mr Delany passed in the property. All interested parties were invited to make themselves known following the auction.
