BOUGHT* - $1,241,000

Often before auctions people come up to me and ask me what I am doing and as a result we begin a conversation. On this particular occasion, as it turned out, I had a conversation with a lady who was well connected with the home. As it was her father who built the home back in 1929/1930 as a family home for her (6 months old at time) and her mother to move in to. She was sad to see the home go but was philosophical about the need to move on. It was from that time on that I had an empathy with the home and its outcome. And what an outcome it was - some 30 bids and 5 bidders who worked with the auctioneer, the lucky bidder purchasing the home for $1,241,000 to start their own history in this much loved home.
