Auctioneer Glen Coutinho was once again true to form with his honest approach in conducting this auction. Mr Coutinho engaged and directed the crowd, controlling proceedings very well. It was evident that the majority of people in attendance were onlookers, residents of the street. The mood was low key considering the location, however due to the number of clipboards and calculators in the audience it was clear that the developers had their eye on this property. And so it became a tussle between developers, with the level of activity increasing significantly once Mr Coutinho announced that the reserve had been met at $1,750,000. There was one very determined bidder and today his commanding approach and bids of $90,000 seemed to be the deciding factor. The property was bought under the hammer for $2,000,000.
