Demand is up, and prices have continued to increase from the bursting start they got just before Xmas 2012. Prices on many good homes are now fully 10% above where they were less than 10 months ago – and back near, at or past the previous highest peak of 2010.

The market has lost a tad of momentum, due to lack of interesting stock, but the underlying demand is still strong. Only two more solid weeks before we ease into our Winter hibernation. There is an old saying in real estate take your holidays in the “J” months – June, July and January. In 2013 that rings true.
