"Knowing this home well, I was keen on a number of fronts to see how this nicely presented, one and a half fronted period home with double garaging would go in the 2012 market - after no changes have been made to it. John Morrisby is our auctioneer in front of a crowd of about 80 - a good crowd and after a detailed but timely and animated intro we are away. A $950,000 vendor bid is quickly upped to $1,100,000 by an advocate and in substantial rises of $25,000 and $50,000's we are quickly on the market at $1,300,000 with two bidders. A few minutes later a third bidder bidder joins in and it's all over at $1,540,000. Wow! A brilliant auction, a very well run campaign and a 50% increase since 2007. Who says you can't do well in the market if you buy the right home at the right price and then sell well. Well done to the vendors on their good decision a few years ago. " (Mal James)

Auctioneer Andrew Hayne spoke enthusiastically of the property’s high quality finish and that good real estate [such as this] creates its own market to the crowd of 55. Mr Hayne opened proceedings with a vendor bid of $2,000,000 and looked for rises of $50,000. With a $25,000 rise offered and accepted, the competition for the property quickly emerged. A second bidder joined the action and before long, so too did a third bidder.
