"A sea of shoes lined the front entrance and the assembled group of 60 swamped the front two rooms of the property. Auctioneer Phil De Fegely spoke eagerly about the opportunity on offer, explaining that properties like this are (rarely) on the market. An opening bid from the crowd of $1,850,000 got proceedings underway and before long a second and third bidder joined the mix, with competition intensifying. The property was announced on the market at $2,160,000 and this news sparked further bidding from the parties. Mr De Fegely was highly energetic, entertaining and amusing. When bidding reached $2,220,000 the property was bought under the hammer to the loud applause of all in attendance." (Kate Agnoleto)

"Indoor auctions aren't always that exciting, but this one bucked the trend and was fast paced, entertaining and high energy all rolled into one! Leigh Hallamore was at the helm and after a great summation of the home and the area, leaped into action. Searching high and low for an opening bid, he was rewarded with one from the crowd at $2,700,000. Indicating that there were a few interested parties in the crowd, Mr Hallamore found another bidder quickly and then a third and the price was now at $2,800,000. From here on it was quick, quick, quick! With now only two bidders in the competition we had a further 14 bids and the property was declared on the market at $3,110,000. Another 20 bids, in quick succession, and the home was bought by a known agent on behalf of his buyer for $3,270,000. A great auction that ended in an appreciative round of applause from those in the crowd." (Jen Milligan)

The Hocking Stuart team, led by Marshall Rushford, was in fine spirits and welcomed the crowd into the courtyard for an auction in the rain. With umbrellas at the ready, Mr Rushford sought an opening bid from the crowd and found one of $2,500,000 soon after. A second bidder entered the fray and the two fought it out for a short while before the property was passed in at $2,950,000." (Jen Milligan)
