BOUGHT* - $1,810,000
The sun came out for auctioneer Scott Patterson at this post Victorian house that had been beautifully restored to its former glory after being once a derelict house not too long ago. This point and many others were brought forth during Mr Patterson's preamble and it only took a vendor bid and some cajoling to get this auction going. Two bidders were in the race for the property, each playing a game of nods as each time an increased bid was offered by Mr Patterson they would simply nod back. An on the market question was duly asked at $1,800,000 and, after referring the matter to the vendors, Mr Patterson replied with a yes. The property sold not long after, going under the hammer at $1,810,000, which brought applause from the attending crowd.
