This is a home that I think will appeal more for what it solves than how it makes you feel.
The location is very central. You’re close to Church Street, Bay Street, the schools and the railway, with the primary school just up the road. There is some traffic around the nearby roundabout, but I didn’t find the noise particularly problematic.
The house itself is clean, tidy and very low maintenance. The floorplan works, the parquetry flooring is in excellent condition, and there really isn’t much you need to spend money on. You could repaint and recarpet if you wanted to freshen it up, but you don’t have to.
The rear lane access is another positive, giving you easy access to the car accommodation without having to negotiate a difficult driveway.
I don’t think this is a home that people are going to get overly emotional about. It’s more practical than that.
It’s a lock-and-leave, low-maintenance property that solves a lot of problems.
And if that’s what you’re looking for, this could be the one.
