This is truly a grand family home. I was involved with its last sale, loved it then and love it just as much now.
It’s been incredibly well renovated, although the floor plan remains largely unchanged. And that’s a positive, because it worked beautifully before.
A substantial landholding with a wonderful, almost botanical garden feel. That’s always been one of its greatest strengths.
The northern orientation isn’t perfect, but the way natural light is brought into the kitchen and conservatory is beautiful.
There’s a separate wing, a huge garage and plenty of space for family living.
If you’re after an iconic family home rather than simply an enormous mansion, it’s hard to go past this.
Certainly the best I’ve seen on Camp Hill and one of Camberwell’s finest.
I really like this place.
