This is one of those homes where the front tells you very little about what’s inside.
It’s a single-fronted terrace, but once you get through the door, the scale, design and drama are quite remarkable. You really need to come and see it to appreciate what has been created here.
The location is excellent, with Carlton and its amenities close by and the city right on your doorstep. But for me, the real story is the house itself.
There are stairs, but importantly, there is also a lift, which is a big tick for a home spread across multiple levels.
The living spaces are the standout. There is a real sense of drama, with large rooms, incredible textures and a kitchen and living area that feels genuinely special. There is a lot going on here, but it has been brought together in a way that makes the home feel distinctive rather than overdone.
Then you have the double garage, which on its own isn’t particularly remarkable, but in Carlton it is a significant advantage. There is rear laneway access and it also connects through to another living and entertaining space.
There is a lot to absorb across all the layers and levels of this home. It is not something you can fully appreciate from the street.
