A classic Wayne Gillespie, and most people know I’m a bit of a lover of his homes. Why? Because anyone can work with the same dimensions, but somehow what Gillespie produces just looks better.
This one is no different. An effortless, effortless classic.
Good bedrooms upstairs, lovely living areas downstairs, simple flow and a basement that works well. It is just a very comfortable home.
The only thing missing is a lift, understandable given it was built over 25 years ago.
I inspected another Gillespie home in Toorak last week, and while both are lovely, I think this one is a little better for a number of reasons. The location is considerably better, although the homes themselves are quite similar.
There is something about the proportions, the flow and the feeling of a Gillespie home that is very hard to replicate.
I really like this one.
