55 Nimmo Street Middle Park - James Home Ratings

There’s a lot to like here. A lot.

Position

First up, it’s Nimmo Street — one of the very best addresses in Middle Park. Combine that with a 465sqm block — well above average for the area — and you’re already in rare territory. Add in rear car access (no parking headaches), a flat block, and a beautiful period façade, and the bones of this property are first-class.

Property

The home itself is quirky. Some buyers will walk in and hesitate — three bedrooms only, no ensuite, in a house this size? For families with four kids who need multiple bathrooms, it may not fit as is. But for others — those with an eye for design and a taste for something a little different — it works.

It’s light, bright, garden-connected, and cutting edge in its feel. The spaces respond well to natural light, and there’s an energy that makes you want to furnish it with confidence: bold paintings, modern furniture, and a touch of flair.

Yes, there’s room to improve: add an ensuite, modernise a few finishes, bring in some cosmetic polish. But this is not structural heavy lifting. If you can afford the quote (just over $5M), then fixing it up won’t break the bank.

Value View

On balance, this is a high-character family home in an elite Middle Park position. It’s got size, street, façade, access, and feel. The quirks will either make you love it or walk away — but with modest updates, this could be a spectacular long-term family residence.

Summary
Period family home on 465sqm in Middle Park’s Nimmo Street. Great street, rear access, light-filled and quirky. Some updates needed but strong long-term value.
