On 779 square metres, with a lovely landscaped north-facing rear garden, this is a classic Wayne Gillespie home.
And most people know I’m a bit of a Wayne Gillespie lover. Why? Because somehow, given exactly the same measurements as everyone else, he manages to produce something that looks and feels so much better. And this home is no different. It’s just effortless. An effortless classic.
Good bedrooms upstairs, really nice living spaces downstairs, simple, easy flow throughout and a basement that works well. It’s comfortable, beautifully proportioned and everything seems to be in the right place.
The only thing missing is a lift, which is understandable given the home is over 25 years old, according to the agent.
I reviewed another Wayne Gillespie home in Toorak last week, and while the houses themselves are quite comparable, I think this one has the edge. Particularly the location, which is considerably better.
Both homes work for me, but there’s something particularly appealing about this one.
A beautiful home, and another example of why Wayne Gillespie’s designs continue to stand the test of time.
